About
Chet Snow, Keene, CA.
I spent twenty years building software. Amazon, where I worked on the front end of a point-of-sale app. Equinix, where I led the team that built the customer portal used by ten thousand enterprise customers. Then startups, including my own, where I designed and shipped a voice AI app to the app stores.
Somewhere in there I moved to Keene, and the calls started. "Can you look at my Wi-Fi?" "The cameras I bought are still in the box." "The printer says offline again." I said yes every time, because I like this work and I like the people up here. KeeneTech is me finally admitting that this is the job.
I still love the technical side. I run my own smart home on Home Assistant with no subscriptions, I have wired more cameras than I can count, and I keep up with the tools so you do not have to. But the part I care about most is that when I leave, the thing works, you understand it, and you know who to call if it stops.
What you can count on
Five promises.
- I will not talk down to you. Ever.
- I will not sell you gear you do not need. If what you own can do the job, I will make it work first.
- I will tell you honestly when the answer is "buy a new one."
- I will show you what I did, so you are not dependent on me for the same thing twice.
- We agree on the price before I start, and the invoice matches it.
